Geeste, November 5, 2025 – In a packed hall filled with several hundreds of spectators, buyers, and cattle breeding enthusiasts, MASTERRIND EXCLUSIVE – DIE AUKTION took place on November 5th, 2025. The top genetics auction hosted by Germany’s leading cattle breeding organization, MASTERRIND, once again set new standards — not only in terms of its irresistible appeal as a crowd magnet, but especially with regard to the outstanding quality of the animals offered for sale.

A total of 62 freshly calved cows, pregnant heifers, type and high-genomic calves, as well as attractive embryo packages, found eager buyers in no time.

The top seller of the auction was Meyer Dean Too Hot to Handle Red PP, a Dean Red P daughter bred by Franz Meyer from Friesoythe. The red-and-white calf is the world’s #1 red and homozygous polled Holstein. She also descends from the same family as the bulls Saw PP RDC and Medy Red P, and will remain in Germany, having been purchased by a group of local buyers. The hammer fell at €26,000.

For €19,000, Auline from Ivo Holsteins found a new owner and will also remain in Lower Saxony. This extremely interesting outcross-bred young cow from the Ronelee Outside Dabble EX-91 family impressed across the board.

With the #1 Alster daughter worldwide based on RZG, Christian Hilbers from Oldenburg presented a real showstopper at the auction. Hilbers Alster Cara comes from a deep U.S. cow family with an outcross sire line and eight generations of VG or EX classified dams. Her high breeding values – 161 RZG and 3209 RZ€ – made the difference. She too will stay in Lower Saxony.

There was a whole range of excellent freshly calved heifers in the auction, but thanks to her impressive udder and flawless conformation, the Ekkel GbR from Itterbeck achieved the highest price in this category. For €8,500, she will soon be attracting attention in Luxembourg.

Three Jerseys were also part of the lineup. The most expensive animal in this section was the pregnant heifer Jelly, bred by Schothorst Landwirtschafts GbR from Osterwald. She was sold for €4,800 to a well-known Jersey breeding farm in Lower Saxony.

Overall, the host MASTERRIND looks back on a thoroughly successful event. The strong turnout on site – with many visitors taking the opportunity to see the outstanding quality of the lineup in person and exchange ideas with fellow breeders – was matched by impressive online participation. In this hybrid auction, almost every second animal was purchased online. The average price reached €7,470. The entire offering was sold out.
